Within the framework of the distinguished scientific activities of the Petroleum Engineering Department, and reflecting the prestigious academic standing of Al-Warkaa University College’s staff at the international level, Professor Dr. Ibtisam Kamal, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, was selected as a scientific reviewer for a research paper in a highly ranked, peer-reviewed international journal.
Scientific Review in a High Impact Factor Journal
Dr. Ibtisam Kamal conducted a rigorous scientific review of the research entitled: (Characteristics of pore oil-water occurrence in shale oil reservoirs – evidence from NMR T2 spectrum)
which is undergoing evaluation and publication in the prestigious international journal (ACS Omega Journal). This journal is indexed in the global “Scopus” databases and boasts a high Impact Factor of (4.4).
Significance of the Research and its Contributions to the Oil Industry
The scientific and practical significance of this research lies in providing new and advanced scientific insights for evaluating fluids in “Shale Oil” reservoirs in a Chinese province. The research relies on utilizing two-dimensional Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR T2 spectrum) technology to characterize multiphase fluids within the pores of the reservoir rocks.
