As part of the series of scientific activities and field visits that the Deanship of Warka University College is keen to organize with the aim of linking academic curricula with practical reality, first-year students in the (Medical Laboratory Techniques Department) conducted a scientific field visit to Basra Oil Hospital.

Warm Reception and Institutional Cooperation

The visit witnessed a warm welcome and great hospitality from the hospital administration, where the students and their accompanying professors were received by the Administrative Assistant and a distinguished group of the medical and health staff. This exceptional reception reflected the extent of constructive cooperation between academic institutions and the health sector to serve the educational process and train students.

Field Tour in the Laboratories

The scientific program of the visit included a comprehensive field tour inside the medical laboratories of Basra Oil Hospital. During the tour, the students closely familiarized themselves with the real laboratory work environment. They listened to detailed explanations from specialized staff about the nature of operating modern laboratory equipment, sample collection mechanisms, and methods for conducting accurate medical analyses. This significantly contributed to enriching their knowledge and preparing them to integrate into the clinical work environment in the future.
