Continuing the journey of academic excellence and active scientific endeavors, and as part of the efforts of Warka University College’s staff to contribute to the global development of scientific research, Professor Dr. Ibtisam Kamal, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, has completed a rigorous scientific review of an advanced research paper undergoing publication in the specialized international journal: (Academia Nano: Science, Materials, Technology).

Research Supporting Renewable and Sustainable Energy

The research paper subjected to scientific peer review was entitled: “Review on Self-cleaning Coating on the Photovoltaic (PV) Panel”.

The significance of this research lies in highlighting the development of self-cleaning coatings as a technical and economical alternative to costly manual cleaning. It explores their application in coating photovoltaic panels designated for electrical energy production based on sustainable and eco-friendly solar energy.

Employing Nanotechnology in Industry

The research discussed in detail the mechanisms for preparing the developed coating materials based on modern technologies utilizing “nanoparticles” and functionalized polymers. The research paper also presented a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of these self-cleaning materials and their direct impact on the efficiency and performance of photovoltaic panels, along with an extensive scientific discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of these innovative coatings.
