Professor Dr. Ibtisam Kamal, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, serves as a scientific reviewer for a Master's thesis from the Faculty of Engineering - Soran University.
As part of the scientific activities of the Petroleum Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ibtisam Kamal, Head of the Department, conducted a scientific review for a Master’s thesis from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Soran University – Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The thesis focused on the sustainable and eco-friendly synthesis of a hydrogel derived from recycled raw materials for wastewater treatment. The study characterized and evaluated the photocatalytic activity of the hydrogel in removing Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions as a benchmark study, aiming for practical applications in treating industrial and municipal wastewater.
This research project contributes to integrating nanotechnology with chemical engineering principles to address pollutant treatment and promote a clean, sustainable environment.
